Dead in our transgressions
Living in our sin
Walking after this world
And the one who rules in it
We all who once were slaves to sin
Serving our flesh and its desires
Were children of wrath just like the rest
But God, who is rich in mercy
Who is just and loving
Even when we were dead
Alive, He has raised us to life
Now, together with Christ
By His grace we have been saved
Seated in the heavens
That in the coming age
He might show the riches
Of kindness and of grace
For by grace we're saved and that through faith
Its not of ourselves, the gift of God
Does not come by works, for we would boast
For we are His workmanship
Created in Christ Jesus
For His good works
That He ordained, He ordained
Before the world was made
That we should walk in them
